Kitchen Statement Piece
Gear Grove worked with the homeowner to create a statement piece for her dining room that achieved an industrial look while also being safe for her children.
Butcher Block Top
We used solid hard maple with a tinted-oil finish to create a butcher block top and welded a custom frame around the entire table. We left the steel a quarter-inch short of the top to keep a soft edge and create a better visual.
Side Bolts – Safe for Kids
For the side bolts, we needed something that would present a smooth finish yet keep the industrial feel. We used carriage bolts so that the children would have less of a chance of getting hurt from the bolts. For the legs, we created a unique tube-steel design with a black finish that maximized the seating area.
Functional Style
We had a great time working with the homeowners to create something that met their functional needs and the stylistic vision they had for the project.
